#whomademyclothes – did you get an answer?

Hands up if on Friday you took a selfie wearing your clothes inside out and posted it across social media with the hastag #whomademyclothes? If so, you are one of the millions of people who just like me, got involved in this year’s Fashion Revolution campaign.

I asked Pull & Bear who made my favourite leather look jacket and as I still eagerly await a response (across any of the social media channels) I wondered if any one else had received the answer to their all important question?

Fash Rev quote

From a quick scout across twitter I can see that the common suspects have replied to their customers (Eileen Fisher, G-Star Raw, Esprit and M&S) but the real winners seem to be independent clothing labels who have gone to great lengths to bring us the people behind the clothes. Check out the response blogger The Savvy Student got from We Are Islanders.

If the small clothing labels with perhaps no dedicated social media team can respond to their customers, what excuse do the big brands have for ignoring our one question? Something to hide perhaps?
