I’m Lauren, the author behind Lily Makes (Lily being my middle name) – welcome to my blog!

A sustainability professional by day and a crafter by night, I have developed a keen interest in combining the two. The results range from handmade homeware to second hand styling and everything in between.

I am a magpie for beautiful fabrics, pre-loved items and colourful patterns. As a self-confessed material girl trying to live in a more sustainable world, you’ll often find me trawling through charity shops, jumble sales and vintage fairs to find individual bits and pieces to make, mend and wear.

I hope I can inspire you in some small way to climb onto the handmade bandwagon or add a little vintage to that wardrobe of yours.

Please feel free to contact me at any point on rowe.lauren@hotmail.co.uk or drop me a tweet @GreenRowe. I’d love to hear what you think of the blog and of course if you have any suggestions for future posts.
